Owner and Director of the new contemporary artspace in Tucson Arizona, Jan Zbiciak Brummett introduces Griffonage Studios to the public with her selected exhibit of drawings and a statement of purpose for the space as a new and vital arts entity in the community.

 

The public is invited to a reception on Saturday evening, January 5, 2008, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, for an opportunity to meet the artist and explore the new art space and surrounding downtown neighborhood. The show will run from January 5 to February 2, 2008.

 

Griffonage Studios has been a cyber entity since 2001 and briefly existed as a loft arts operation in the San Francisco Bay Area. Currently, Griffonage Studios is located in downtown Tucson Arizona and provides exhibit space as well as a variety of arts workshops, classes and an artist lecture series for interested artists and arts lovers in the area.

 

Jan Zbiciak Brummett is an artist, author and educator. She received an MFA from San Francisco Art Institute and has taught on the college level for eight years. In addition, she has presented numerous artist-in-residencies for educational institutions in northern California since 1992. Her artwork has been shown and published in the United States as well as abroad.
