Imaginary Realism
Instructor: Laura LaFave
This class
will focus on the juxtaposition of imagination and realism. Using a still
life or an outside source of reference, students will work between what it
is they see, or rather, what it is they choose to reference in their
drawing as a focus on a literal level, and what they choose to transpose
into a different dimension on a more subconscious level. Finding a balance
between the real and what is in one's imagination, students will create a
drawing that combines two worlds of consciousness.
